Revolutionizing Healthcare Together:
With Self-Employed Professionals In Mind

  • On Tuesday, August 1st, RLTY, a New York-based specialty finance firm for real estate agents, brokerages and developers,  introduced an innovative health care collaboration to benefit independent contractors in Florida with one of the nation’s  premier healthcare corporations.
  • This is the first-time real estate agents and self-employed professionals will have direct access to insurance professionals who can educate them about their health care coverage options and then help them apply for health plans uniquely suited to their lifestyles and business structures as self-employed individuals.
  • Via RLTY, agents in the future may have access to over 250 carrier options for health coverage, supplemental health, ancillary and financial protection insurance products, depending on their locations.
  • It is not the norm for real estate agents to be classified as a W-2 employee with their brokerage, meaning most agents are not offered any kind of benefits package. Hundreds of thousands of agents nationally are tasked with finding their own health insurance and left to navigate the marketplace alone.
  • RLTY is the only one-stop shop to educate and equip independent contractors with guidance for financial health and sound business strategy while providing critical funding.
  • RLTY’s core business, real estate commission advances, offers a seamless, confidential application process for real estate agents, brokerages, and developers to secure advance commissions with no hidden fees. Underwriting is powered by proprietary AI and the firm purchases commissions; it does not supply loans. Commission advance services are currently
available in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Florida.

¹Short term plans are medically underwritten and generally do not cover preexisting conditions. This coverage is not required to comply with certain federal market requirements for health insurance, principally those contained in the Affordable Care Act. Be sure to check your policy/certificate carefully to make sure you are aware of any exclusions or limitations regarding coverage of preexisting conditions or health benefits (such as hospitalization, emergency services, maternity care, preventive care, prescription drugs, and mental health and substance use disorder services). Your policy/certificate might also have lifetime and/or annual dollar limits on health benefits. If this coverage expires or you lose eligibility for this coverage, you might have to wait until an open enrollment period to get other health insurance coverage. This is not Minimum Essential coverage as defined in the Affordable Care Act and may not cover all Essential Health Benefits in your state. Some Short Term plans are available as association group insurance only to members of FACT, an independent association. Additional membership fees may be required.
